We saw many cocoi herons along the river edges. Here's one with a catch.
The cocoi herons were often flying up and down the river; a beautiful bird to watch in flight.
A southern screamer, so named for the loud screaming sound they make.
A wattled jacana, a unique bird that has very long toes for walking on swampy marshes which is their habitat.
I was stunned to see this jacana almost attack this caiman, shooing him away from his territory.
