We are usually busy playing sports in October, but this year we decided to visit beautiful Maine during its peak fall color season. We ooooh'd and aaaah'd the brilliant colors with our friends Paul and Sandy Renner. Our trip began in Portland and then went "down east" to Camden. Next we traveled to Acadia National Park, one of our very favorite places in the world, spending 6 days photographing the sites. Then we went north to Baxter State Park in search of moose and beautiful fall colors. We found the colors but no moose! We discovered a new national park called Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. We returned to Portland via the Golden Road, a back country gravel road in hopes of seeing moose. No moose again, but beautiful colors.Read More
