Oregon 2017
For a couple of weeks in August of 2017 we traveled to Bend, Oregon to play in a pickleball tournament and then to photograph waterfalls, rivers, and beautiful scenery in central and eastern Oregon.
Here's the Hells Canyon Dam on the Snake River. I hiked along the steep eastern bank, with help from some well-placed stairs, to get this perspecitive of the dam.
We were told the shot to get of Mt Hood was from Trillium Lake south of the mountain. While the water was calm to capture a reflection the light on the mountain was poor.
We came back to Trillium Lake a week later in hopes of better light. Here is Julie in position to capture the sun hitting the mountain, but it never did.
There are many falls along the Columbia Gorge as you move toward Portland. We had time to hike only to one, selecting Wahclella Falls. This photo shows the stream emanating from the falls.
