Northwest Passage
Only since 2009 has the Northwest Passage been open to tourist travel, due of course to global warming. Our trip began in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where we boarded a charter flight to Kugluktuk, Northwest Territory. We then boarded the Sea Adventurer, a Russian-made ice reinforced ship that carried about 100 passengers. We then traveled across northern Canada following one of several famed Northwest Passages. Our trip ended by visiting several Inuit villages in Greenland.
