Mono Lake
We had read and seen amazing photos of the Tufas in Mono Lake located on the eastern side of the Sierras near Mammoth Lake, CA. Tufas are porous carbonate deposits formed through the precipitation of calcium carbonates from fresh water. So we went to photograph them and the beautiful scenery in the area after our successful softball tournament in Reno, NV. We were joined by Stan and Deb Komatsu and Sandy Renner, who served as our guide.
